Per the settlement agreement, the NCAA can no longer enforce its Transfer Eligibility Rule requiring athletes to maintain a period of residence at the new school before being allowed to play their respective sport.

Last week, the NCAA Board of Governors and the Power 5 Conferences (ACC, SEC, Big 10, Pac 12, and Big 12) voted in favor of settling the House v NCAA case.

The House case, as it is commonly referred to stands to completely upend the NCAA as the association faces up to 4.3 billion dollars in damages if the case goes trial. This is precisely why the NCAA is currently working to settle this case along with two others.
